Snapshot Metrics: Quick Aircraft OverviewDescription: Pulled from final logbook pages: AFTT, SMOH, TSOH, IFR cert, Annual due dates, engine/prop models, and documentation tier (e.g., complete/legible logs). Cross-verified for accuracy, with fleet percentile (e.g., 55% for 172M series). Perceived Value: Provides an at-a-glance summary that's easier than flipping through logs. Benefit: Spot red flags early, saving $10K-$30K in negotiation surprises or avoiding overpaying as a buyer.
-
Maintenance Timeline: Chronological EventsDescription: Clean mapping of key events like overhauls, upgrades, and inspections (e.g., ELT replacement, nose gear rebuild). Includes compressions, oil analysis, and borescope results. Perceived Value: Reveals patterns of diligence (e.g., no metal in oil filters). Benefit: Highlights strengths to justify top dollar, potentially adding $20K+ to resale value for sellers or brokers.
-
AD/SB Compliance Table: Diligence CheckDescription: Specific ADs/SBs flagged with "C/W" or "N/A," dates, and notes (e.g., AD 76-07-12 for ignition). Complete summary on file, no overdue items found. Perceived Value: Proves regulatory compliance in a simple table. Benefit: Avoids FAA fines ($1K-$10K) and builds buyer trust, reducing market time by weeks.
-
Engine / Prop / Airframe Deep Dive: Detailed HighlightsDescription: In-depth on engine (e.g., Lycoming O-320, compressions: 72/70/63/74), propeller (e.g., McCauley, TSOH 867.4 hrs), and airframe (e.g., new paint/interior, corrosion treatment). Includes CAPS, ELT, and ADS-B upgrades. Perceived Value: Uncovers hidden strengths or concerns (e.g., soft compression monitoring). Benefit: Prevents $2K-$5K post-sale repairs for buyers or showcases upgrades for sellers.
-
Record Integrity Section: Logbook Quality CheckDescription: Assesses format (typed/hand logs), completeness (signed/tach-time), gaps (none >13 mo), scan quality (99% OCR), and attachments (8130s, 337s). Perceived Value: Confirms log reliability, a key FAA requirement. Benefit: Avoids compliance issues that could delay deals by 1-2 months or reduce value by 5-10% ($10K-$20K).
-
Score Rationale: HX Grade & AnalysisDescription: 100-point HX grade (e.g., 91/100) with strengths (e.g., continuous logs, AD currency) and deductions (e.g., no IFR cert: -2 pts, soft compression: -1 pt). Perceived Value: Transparent breakdown with fleet percentile. Benefit: A high score can add 10-20% to resale ($20K+), justifying your asking price.
-
Flagged Page Summary & Resale Summary: Actionable InsightsDescription: Flags (e.g., no IFR cert since 2018, prop nearing OH) with recommendations (e.g., confirm IFR for IFR ops). Resale summary: "Clean logs and mid-time engine make this excellent for flight schools." Perceived Value: Calls out buyer worries (e.g., monitor #3 compression). Benefit: Reduces resale time by 20-30% and avoids $5K-$20K post-sale surprises.

What is AeroScore HX?AeroScore HX is a professional logbook scoring and summary service that helps buyers, sellers, and brokers evaluate the maintenance quality of an aircraft — before any money changes hands. Using only the scanned maintenance records, we produce a clean, structured report that: Scores the aircraft across 10 core categories (like AD compliance, inspection history, engine/prop service, record continuity, etc.) Flags any documentation gaps, missing signoffs, deferred ADs, or high-risk patterns Summarizes key findings in a professional PDF that’s easy to share, understand, and trust Think of it as a maintenance report card built from the logs — not a replacement for inspection, but a powerful tool to support it.
-
How is the report created? What do you actually review?Once you upload your logbooks (PDFs, photos, or Dropbox/Drive links), we review them in detail — page by page — to extract all relevant maintenance, inspection, and compliance information. We then apply our proprietary AeroScore HX scoring framework, developed in collaboration with brokers, mechanics, and compliance specialists, to evaluate: AD & SB compliance 100hr and annual inspection rhythm Engine & propeller service history (TSOH, SMOH, IRANs, etc.) Logbook formatting, signatures, and record continuity Damage or corrosion entries Modifications, upgrades, and service center patterns The report includes a scoring breakdown, summary, and any red flags or advisory notes.
-
How is this different from a prebuy or appraisal?AeroScore HX is not a mechanical inspection or certified appraisal. It does not include a visual walkaround, borescope, or test flight. Instead, it provides a pre-inspection overview of the aircraft’s documentation quality — the story the records are telling. That makes it ideal for: Buyers evaluating multiple aircraft Sellers looking to support their asking price with documentation Brokers preparing their listing or buyer pitch Lenders needing a clearer picture of the aircraft’s care history

Buyers use it to filter their shortlists, justify their offer, or ask better questions before committing to a prebuy. Brokers use it to support pricing, reduce back-and-forth, and position themselves as professionals who come prepared.
